Joining the ACE-VSS database isn't like signing up to a freelance marketplace. You won't be competing with hundreds of others for the same brief. You'll be matched — deliberately — with clients whose needs, communication style, and working culture genuinely fit yours.
A note on the placement fee
When you're placed with a client through ACE Match Standard, a one-time placement fee applies — separate from your client compensation. It covers the matching, vetting, and coordination ACE-VSS does on your behalf. Your agreed compensation with the client is yours in full. We do not deduct from it.

On ACE Manage placements, we handle escalation between you and your client. For ACE Match Standard, an optional mediation add-on is available — so you're never entirely on your own if things get difficult.

Our database is not open-entry. We accept applications on a rolling basis and only add professionals who meet the ACE standard. If you apply and aren't accepted immediately, your application may be held for future consideration.
Currently open to professionals based across Africa, serving clients globally. All placements are remote.
- Graphic DesignersSocial media graphics, brand identity, marketing collateral, presentations. Portfolio required.
- Social Media ManagersContent planning, community management, scheduling, analytics reporting.
- Video EditorsShort-form and long-form editing, reels, brand content, CapCut and Adobe Premiere workflows. Showreel required.
- Operations & Systems StrategistsWorkflow design, SOP documentation, tool stack setup, process optimisation. Experience with Notion, Airtable, or ClickUp preferred.
- Content Creators / CopywritersCaptions, blogs, email copy, marketing content. Writing samples required.

Your work is assessed across five dimensions. Strong portfolios advance quickly. A watchlist option exists — rejection isn't the only outcome.
A 30-minute structured call scored on our 100-point ACE scorecard. Neurodivergent-aware — we evaluate capability and character, not polished delivery.
Welcome pack, security briefing, and written acknowledgement before any client is introduced.
The 30-Day Internal Review
After your first placement, ACE-VSS conducts a structured internal review across five areas. This is not punitive — it's how we ensure the match is working well for both you and your client.
